China vs USA: Former Navy Seal says ‘you can shoot without consequence’ as tensions rise
A former Navy Seal has warned Americans in the Middle East can be shot at “without consequence” in a bleak warning about the region’s future.
Erik Prince joined Jacob Rees-Mogg on GB News America to explore the foreign policy “setbacks” suffered by the US in recent years.
He cited the Red Sea attacks by Houthi Rebels who have been targeting British and American vessels.
Prince told GB News that incidents like these are “increasing in occurrence” and warned countries like China are feeling increasingly emboldened thanks to US inaction.
“You can apparently shoot at US Navy warships hundreds of times and shoot Americans in the Middle East without consequence”, he said.
“Now you have the Houthis that have even blocked one of the busiest waterways of the planet, taking out more than 50 per cent of the global container trade.

China news: Former Navy Seal warns ‘we are in a second version of the Carter administration’ after Xi’s private warning to Biden
“It’s a catastrophic loss of American credibility and deterrence. It started really by our inability to finish properly in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“It’s just cascaded from there and I’m not surprised that Xi Jinping would try to bluster his way into a successful takeover of Taiwan.
“I would be surprised if they don’t try something under the Biden administration, because for them, I’m sure it has to feel like the door is wide open for them to do whatever they want to do.”
China views Taiwan as a renegade province which they must eventually unite with.
Presidential elections in the country are coinciding with ramped up military operations from the Chinese.
Prince fears Xi Jinping is confident in carrying out such actions knowing the West will not act.
He told Rees-Mogg that America is in a “second version of the Carter administration” as foreign policy struggles linger.
The GB News presenter waded in by discussing Biden’s decision to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan, blasting the way it was handled by the president.
“It made the whole of the Western military and the Western determination in foreign affairs look weak”, he said.
“The Taliban defeated the US using weapons that were designed basically 70 years ago”, Prince responded.
He added: “They won by old fashioned soldiering, and the West lost because it tied itself in knots.
“We allowed lawyers to become political officers and it prevented effective soldiering and the country was never pacified.”
