Britons face major train delays as ‘nationwide fault’ causes rush hour commuter chaos

A national fault is impacting railway services, causing misery for commuters.

National Rail said the issue relates to the communication system used between train drivers and signallers.

A spokesman said: “Trains across the network are having to start their journeys later because of this fault and some may also be subject to cancellations or alterations.”
