Angela Levin outlines reason that Princess Kate deserves prestigious award: ‘We can only hope’
Royal commentator Angela Levin has outlined the reason she believes Princess Kate deserves a prestigious honour, after the royal was nominated for Time magazine’s notorious Person of the Year award.
Kate, 42, joins a list of influential figures including Elon Musk and Donald Trump for the coveted recognition.
The nomination follows what the princess has described as an “incredibly tough” year battling cancer.
Speaking about the nomination, Levin told GB News: “I can only hope that she wins, I think she’s so marvellous. She’s gone through so much.
“And seeing her at the weekend with all the the family for the first time, she was going round talking to everybody and she was looking sensational.
“I think it’s also not just that she’s done so much this year, but she’s actually behaved so brilliantly, and she’s spoken so honourably and honestly I think she does deserve it.

The nomination comes after a challenging year for the future Queen, who underwent planned abdominal surgery in January before later announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.
The Princess has since completed preventative chemotherapy and made a gradual return to public duties, marking a remarkable journey that has sparked important conversations about privacy and health for public figures.

The winner will be announced on Thursday, 12 December.
Speaking at her recent Christmas carol service, the Princess reflected on the unexpected nature of her year, telling singer Paloma Faith: “I didn’t know this year was going to be the year that I’ve just had.”
