Aldi launches Christmas sandwich range featuring several festive newcomers

Aldi has unveiled its festive sandwich range for 2024, and it’s already hit stores nationwide.

The supermarket’s Christmas offerings promise to satisfy a variety of tastes, with prices starting at a wallet-friendly £1.89.

This year’s selection includes exciting new additions alongside returning favourites, ensuring shoppers can indulge in the flavours of the season.

From triple-decker sandwiches to toasties packed with yuletide trimmings, Aldi’s range aims to get customers ‘bread-y’ for the festive period ahead.

Leading the new additions is the Christmas Club Triple Sandwich, priced at £2.39.

This festive feast features three layers of white and rye bread filled with Emmental cheese, smoked turkey, oak smoked ham, lettuce, and beechwood smoked streaky bacon.

The sandwich is completed with cranberry sauce and sage and onion mayonnaise.

Another newcomer is the Smoked Chicken & The Trimmings Toastie, available for £1.89.

This toasted snack combines smoked shredded chicken with a bacon and stuffing mix, rich cranberry chutney, and a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheese on white bread.

Aldi is also bringing back several festive favourites. The Specially Selected Seafood Cocktail Bloomer, priced at £2.69, returns after being shortlisted at the Quality Food Awards 2024.

This luxurious option features king prawns, surimi, and cold-water prawns in a Marie Rose sauce.

For traditionalists, the Turkey Feast Sandwich (£1.99) offers a classic Christmas combination. It includes British turkey breast, smoked bacon, and pork and sage onion stuffing.

A wrap version, the Turkey Feast Wrap (£2.29), provides a portable twist on the festive favourite. Both options come with cranberry sauce and mayonnaise to complete the seasonal flavour profile.

Vegetarian and vegan options are also featured in Aldi’s Christmas sandwich range.

The Brie & Cranberry Chutney Sandwich (£1.99) offers a French-inspired combination of creamy brie cheese and tangy cranberry sauce, complemented by orange and ginger chutney on oatmeal bread.

For those following a plant-based diet, the Vegan Festive Feast Sandwich (£1.99) provides a festive sub filled with parsnip fritters, red cabbage, and apple.

It’s further enhanced with cranberry sauce, toasted pumpkin seeds, vegan sage and onion mayonnaise, and spinach, all nestled between slices of cranberry and poppy seed bread.

Seafood enthusiasts can enjoy the Salmon & Soft Cheese Sandwich (£1.99), featuring Scottish salmon with lemon and black pepper on wholemeal bread.
