King Charles set to welcome visitors into his Royal Family home
King Charles is set to open the doors of his Norfolk countryside retreat to the public next month.
Sandringham House will welcome visitors from April 5 until October 10 2025 for its main season.
The royal residence has been closed during its winter break.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore eight ground-floor rooms inside the historic house.
The estate’s magnificent 60-acre garden will also be open to visitors.
King Charles recently offered a glimpse into the estate when he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The beautiful interiors of Sandringham House remain largely unchanged from Edwardian times.
Visitors can admire an impressive collection of art including Meissen porcelain, semi-precious stones and Minton china.
The Jacobean-style exterior was built by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.
They used the Sandringham estate as their countryside residence after their marriage in 1863.
The main part of the house was completed in 1870. A ballroom was later added to the property in 1883.
Sandringham is traditionally where the Royal Family spend Christmas and enjoy countryside pursuits.

The estate holds significant royal history, including Queen Elizabeth II’s first televised Christmas broadcast to the nation in 1957.
The late Queen would spend her winter break at Sandringham, marking the anniversary of her father King George VI’s death on 6 February 1952.
The Prince and Princess of Wales also share a close connection with the estate.
William and Kate were gifted Anmer Hall, a ten-bedroom Georgian mansion near Sandringham, by the late Queen as a wedding present in 2011.
The couple used it as their main residence from 2015 to 2017 while Prince William worked as an air ambulance pilot.
