Police arrest two teens after large chair hurled from third floor of shopping centre
Two teenagers have been arrested after footage of a large chair being hurled from the third floor of a London shopping centre went viral on social media.
In the video, initially posted on Snapchat, a hooded boy appears to throw the seat from a balcony approximately 120 feet high, as shoppers are seen darting out of the way.
The disturbing footage captures the immediate chaos and the seemingly unfazed reaction of the person filming.
A voice is heard saying: “There’s no way this guy’s doing it. Oh my god.”
After the blue seat smashes to the ground, narrowly missing an innocent shopper, the individuals involved are seen running away through the centre while shouting and laughing.
Towards the end of the clip, one of the individuals is heard expressing disbelief about the incident.
The video has gone viral on social media, prompting widespread outrage as viewers described the incident as “horrific”.
