Princess Kate and Prince William ruled out of major event
Princess Kate and Prince William will not attend this year’s Bafta Film Awards on Sunday, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
The Prince of Wales, who serves as Bafta President, was never scheduled to attend the 2025 ceremony, despite his appearance last year.
Instead, he is focusing his efforts on supporting the next generation of British film talent.
The prince will make an appearance in a video package during Sunday’s awards ceremony.
In his role as Bafta President, he is set to visit the London Screen Academy in Islington on Wednesday.
The visit aims to showcase how the academy is developing future talent in Film and TV industries.
During his visit to the academy, Prince William will tour the facilities and meet with students.
The prince will engage with those studying costume, makeup and production as they work on their final-year collaboration project.
