Mother of British Gaza hostage ‘disappointed’ in David Lammy as she takes aim at Labour

Mandy Damari, mother of Emily Damari, the 28-year-old UK-Israeli dual national being held by Hamas in Gaza, said she was disappointed in Foreign Secretary David Lammy after his recent statement on aid into the Palestinian enclave.

Mandy, 63, addressed on Monday the Labour Friends of Israel group in front of 100 Lab MPs, including Lammy, where she says she repeatedly asked for aid for hostages.

But Mandy said that a few hours later, the Foreign Secretary published a statement on aid in Gaza for the winter, but it contained no mention about aid for hostages.

Mandy, who was born in Surrey, has repeatedly called on the Government to put pressure on to make sure humanitarian supplies reach the hostages amid the ongoing negotiations.

Emily was captured by Hamas on October 7, 2023 during the terror group’s coordinated attack on Israel.

Asked if she trusted the Labour Government to fight for Emily’s case amid their disagreements with Israel, Mandy told GB News that she was grateful for all of the support offered by politicians from all parties in this case.

Mandy said she was desperate for a new sign of life of Emily, who has not been seen since March.

Emily, a lifelong Spurs fan, was shot in the hand, blindfolded, and taken into Gaza by Hamas terrorists when they raided her kibbutz, Kfar Aza.

Mandy said that she only survived because the lock on her safe room was jammed, preventing access to terrorists.

Mandy said she would love Tottenham Hotspur to make a statement about Emily’s plight, noting how many fans sing her name outside the stadium ahead of matches.

Emily Damari is the sole British hostage being held in Gaza.

Her mother did not initially speak about the situation because she left her trust in the various governments and negotiators to ensure her freedom, but Mandy is now speaking out to ensure Emily’s name is known
