‘Love this!’ M&S shoppers excited for new recipes on its Christmas menu
M&S has unveiled its latest festive range, with several new options to its vegan, vegetarian and free-from menu this Christmas season.
Notably, the high-street retailer has brought back its Café turkey toasties, which went viral on social media last year and are now gluten-free.
The retailer has achieved recognition at the Free From Christmas Awards, securing four gold and three silver winners with its range of dishes.
Festive additions to the vegan menu include Vegan Pigs in Blankets and the Plant Kitchen Mince Pies.
Shoppers have been reacting on social media to the updated menu from Marks & Spencer.
One user said online: “Love this. Some great options,” while another commenter said: “The pigs in blankets are insane. I will be at my local M&S ready to stock up.”
The Plant Kitchen range features an array of party food, including the No Chicken Kyivs, priced at £5.50 for 360g.
A new Mushroom & Chestnut Pâté priced at £6, for 175g aims to offer a smooth vegan blend of mushrooms, chestnuts, chickpeas and shallots.
Other items on the Plant Kitchen menu include the Butternut Squash & Spinach Pie, available for £8.50, containing 425g and it combines vegetables in shortcrust pastry topped with filo but is not available till December 18.
The Plant Kitchen Garnish Selection Pack offers six vegan stuffing balls and six soya cocktail sausages, which are also released in a fortnight.
M&S is also releasing a series of wheat-free products with several of the new products winning at the Free From Christmas Awards.
The Made Without Wheat range features the Made Without Wheat Sage & Onion Stuffing Mix (£2) and Yorkshire Puddings (£2.75) provide essential gluten-free sides.

M&S is releasing a series of festive treats too including the Plant Kitchen Mince Pies (£3.25) and a Light Up House Tin (£7) filled with Speculoos & Dark Choc Chip Cookies.
The range also features the Dark Chocolate & Orange Cookie House Tin which is available from £7.
The Made Without Chocolate Yule Log (£10) rounds out the selection, which has a rich gluten-free chocolate sponge with milk chocolate fudge coating.
M&S are not the only major supermarket releasing festive products in the run-up to Christmas with Asda recently unveiling its festive £5 Christmas Dinner Pizza.
