Aldi launches new Pigs in Blankets delivery service – how to get festive side for free

Aldi is set to launch the UK’s first-ever Pigs in Blankets delivery service in London, bringing festive favourites directly to customers’ doorsteps.

The new service, launching on November 30, will allow Londoners to order cooked Pigs in Blankets for just £5, with all proceeds being donated to charity partner Neighbourly.

Those outside the city will not miss out, however, as the retailer is giving away free Pigs in Blankets across the UK.

This delivery concept comes as Britain’s cheapest supermarket expands its Christmas offering, with predictions suggesting Brits will consume 761 million Pigs in Blankets this festive season.

The announcement follows overwhelming demand for Aldi’s Pigs in Blankets Restaurant in Shoreditch, which opens for its second year on November 29.

The restaurant, located on Bethnal Green Road, saw 80 per cent of its tables booked within just 24 hours of release.

Customers within selected London postcodes can now pre-book their delivery slots through aldipigsinblanketsdelivery.co.uk, ensuring they don’t miss out on the festive favourite.

Adding to its festive credentials, Aldi has been crowned the Best Place to Buy Pigs in Blankets this Christmas by consumer group Which?.

The discount supermarket triumphed over major competitors including M&S, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to claim the prestigious title.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

This recognition comes as Aldi launches its biggest-ever range of Pigs in Blankets, with an extensive selection available through the new delivery service. The new delivery service will feature an extensive menu including innovative varieties like Cheese Pigs in Blankets and the Ultimate Vegan Footlong Pig in Blanket.

Managing director of buying at Aldi UK Julie Ashfield said: “The response to our Pigs in Blankets Restaurant has been phenomenal, and we’ve listened to our customers who want a way to enjoy these festive favourites even if they can’t make it to the venue.

“This UK-first service is our solution, delivering Aldi’s Pigs in Blankets experience directly to shoppers’ homes.”

For those outside the London delivery area, Aldi is offering a nationwide giveaway of Pigs in Blankets.

Starting from November 25, the first 1,000 customers to email aldiPIBgiveaway@clarioncomms.co.uk with their name, age and address will receive a £5 voucher.

The voucher can be used to purchase up to 30 pigs in blankets from Aldi’s festive range, ensuring customers across the country can enjoy the seasonal favourite.
