Mike Tyson’s trainer shouts ‘we’re done’ during intense sparring session for Jake Paul fight

Mike Tyson’s trainer, Rafael Cordeiro, was filmed shouting ‘we’re done’ during a tense sparring session ahead of the November 15 fight with Jake Paul.

The controversial clash is now just days away with both fighters bringing an end to their training camps.

While Paul has offered only a small glimpse into his training regime, Tyson has pulled back the curtain completely on what he’s put his body through.

At 58 years of age, Tyson will be at a disadvantage to the much younger Paul in terms of getting in prime condition for the fight.

But video footage of Tyson in action in the ring indicates the former undisputed heavyweight world champion is locked in.

A new video published by Most Valuable Promotions on YouTube showed Tyson working in the gym with his trainers offering plenty of support.

Cordeiro explained at the start of the video that Tyson’s preparations were in the ‘perfect place’ and indicated he was ready to fight already.

“We talked about Roy [Jones Jr,” he said.

“Roy was four years ago. Today, Mike is much better than he was when he fought Roy.

“So four years later, at 58, he’s better than [when he was] 54.

“He saw everything right, everything wrong he did and he fixed it.”

The video then cut to Tyson getting ready for a sparring session in the ring with the former undisputed heavyweight world champion beginning with some pad work.

Cordeiro was walking around the outside of the ring as the sparring session got underway with the Brazilian shouting out positive messages to Tyson.

He continually described Tyson’s work as ‘beautiful’ and ‘excellent’ before adding: “It’s a beautiful game, complete. There is nothing to say. You’re complete.”

He said: “You’re winning the fight, so there’s no reason for you to rush. You’re winning the fight, all good for us.”

Tyson was then shown pinning his opponent in the corner where he landed a devastating left hook to the body that put the other fighter to the floor.

During a short break in the fight, Cordeiro walked over to Tyson in the ring and said: “We’re done, the job is over. We’re done.”

The 51-year-old soon called time on the sparring session and beamed from ear-to-ear as he stepped into the ring to help Tyson take his headguard off.

Tyson sounded exhausted after the fight and was dripping in sweat as he struggled to speak.

But the fight wasn’t the end of Tyson’s workout session as he then begun some weight training while hooked up to a machine.

Between sets, Tyson also revealed that he was offered money by some of his rich friends to pull out of his fight with Paul.

He said: “I have some friends, they’re pretty wealthy.

“They said, ‘Don’t fight, I give you money’. [I’m like] ‘You f****** crazy?’.”
