Mike Tyson uses his own mother to send chilling insult to Jake Paul ahead of fight

Mike Tyson has made a bold statement ahead of his upcoming fight with Jake Paul, claiming he would even take on his own mother in the ring.

The former world heavyweight champion is set to face the social media star turned boxer on November 15 at the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas.

In a recent interview with talkSPORT, Tyson warned: “Whoever is in that ring has a problem with me.

“If my mother stepped into the ring she has a problem with me. Don’t go in that ring if you don’t want that problem”.

Tyson exudes confidence in his skill level compared to Paul’s. Speaking to Fox 4 Dallas, he stated: “He can fight, for boxers his level. I do not believe [he can compete at my level]”.

The 57-year-old boxing icon dismissed concerns about facing a much younger opponent, asserting: “He’s supposed to be the young guy, he’s supposed to walk right through me.

“I’m an old man but he’s going to run all night”.

Tyson’s remarks highlight the significant experience gap between the two fighters.

Despite his age, ‘Iron Mike’ appears unfazed by the challenge posed by the 27-year-old Paul.

Tyson’s intentions for the fight are clear and aggressive. He told Fox 4 Dallas: “I’m just going in there with bad intentions and my intention is to hurt this young man”.

The boxing legend believes Paul will struggle to make the fight exciting, stating: “As soon as I catch him, because he’s going to run like a thief.

“I don’t see how he’s going to make it an exciting fight by running all day”.

Tyson also questioned Paul’s approach to the bout, saying: “I just don’t think he’s taking it seriously.

“I think he believes he’s the young guy and I’m the quasi-retirement child, they may think I’m an easy touch.”

The fight is scheduled for eight two-minute rounds at heavyweight.

Tyson, who hasn’t fought professionally since 2005, did participate in an exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

Paul, on the other hand, turned professional four years ago and has already defeated notable opponents such as Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz. His only loss came against Tommy Fury last year.
