Jannik Sinner’s net worth and earnings from US Open revealed after beating Taylor Fritz to win trophy
Jannik Sinner has become the first Italian man in history to win the US Open after beating Taylor Fritz in straight sets on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old had gone into the clash on a high after an impressive victory over Britain’s Jack Draper in the semi-finals.
And Sinner was a level above on Sunday, with the tennis star beating Fritz in straight sets to secure glory.
It was a statement performance from the Italian, one that shows he’s ready to compete with Carlos Alcaraz in the coming years ahead.
Before the victory over Fritz, Sinner had a net worth of roughly £12million ($16m).
That’s despite the tennis star winning roughly £18million ($24m) in prize money from ATP Tour events over the course of his career so far.
Sinner has endorsement deals with the likes of Nike, Gucci and Head – in addition to Italian companies such as Alfa Romeo and Lavazza.
Regarding his earnings from this year’s US Open, Sinner has scooped a huge £2.7m ($3.6m) after overcoming Fritz.
The American won’t walk away empty-handed, however, with Fritz getting £1.3m for being the runner-up.
Given how well Sinner performed, last night’s triumph is extremely unlikely to be his last.
Tennis has waited a while to see who will emerge as the heirs to the thrones of the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
While Djokovic is still playing, unlike the other two, there are signs he’s starting to wane as he enters the twilight years of his glittering career.

Speaking after his win on Sunday, Sinner paid tribute to his seriously ill aunt.
“I would like to dedicate this title to my aunt because she is really not feeling well health-wise,” he said.
“I don’t know how much longer I’ll have her in my life.”
Sinner added: “It’s so nice that I can share positive moments still with her.

“She was a very important person for my life and she still is.
“So if that would be the biggest wish, I would wish everyone the best health to everyone but unfortunately it’s not possible.”
Fritz, meanwhile, said he felt he’d ‘let people down’ after his hopes of winning his home Slam ended in failure.
“I’m pretty upset with how I played. I feel like I almost let a lot of people down,” said the 26-year-old.
“I’m pretty just disappointed in how I played, how I hit certain shots. It sucks.
“I just would have liked to have played better and given myself a better chance. It’s really disappointing right now. I feel like American fans have been wanting a men’s champion for a long time.”
